I’ve been listening to VOLA for a few years now, and like the other progressive metal bands I listen to, I don’t really get tired of their music.
The polyrhythms and melodies keep me engaged. VOLA is a little different than others; they sing a lot more, which to me is like the softer side of progressive metal.

I’m still listening to a lot of Gojira.

I can’t say enough about Hades. I’ve played well over 600 hours between Steam and Switch, have completed over 300 runs and sitting at about 90% (guessing) of the game’s achievements.
Everything about this game is top for me. The music, the game mechanics, the creative use of death within the story and mechanics, the character development and story. It’s top tier for its kind of game.
I’m back into the game now after a year long break, working to 100% the achievements. There’s now a Hades 2, but honestly, I’m not really all that interested in playing it. Hades is where it’s at for me.

This game scratches all of my game itches. Low-bit, Metroidvania, roguelite, with RPG skilltrees. This game is so similar to Hades with its use of death, skill leveling, and level run (starting completely over after each death).

I love games like this; they’re difficult, require the player to learn precise controls and master skills, gets progressively easier as you level (or as you get good), and rewards persistence and learning over entertainment and ease of gameplay.

My wife and I have been playing this game off and on for a couple years. I love spending time with her.
Quiet, low conflict game. We do intervals of alternating two in-game days with 10-20 minutes of housework. It helps our ADHD immensely to get things done like that.
